The Land Trust has been engaged in a major campaign to save the Angel Oak by purchasing the land around the tree to create a public access passive park for all to enjoy. The culmination of this effort, was a "fellowship dinner under the tree" on Sunday, Nov 3rd.
Dee Rhodes created this sketch of the Angel Oak for the campaign. Seven schools each did a painting of the Angel Oak to have at the event. This event brought the community together and was a great success!
